Stache 1920s
Drinking Den
The place
Fort Lauderdale doesn't have many legitimate speakeasy-style cocktail bars. Behind a modest Las Olas door, Stache delivers: a dark, moody drinking den decorated in 1920s excess — taxidermied animals, Edison bulbs, and bartenders who know their cocktail history cold.
The menu walks through American cocktail culture by era: Prohibition classics (Bee's Knees, Last Word, proper Manhattans) through mid-century innovations and into modern technique. Daytime coffee bar service means Stache works as a laptop spot before morphing into one of downtown's better nightlife venues after dark.
DJ sets on weekends skew hip-hop and funk — louder than the decor suggests, in a way that somehow works once you settle in.
What to expect
Coffee bar open daytime hours. Cocktail lounge opens evenings around 5pm. Live DJs Friday and Saturday nights. Street parking or nearby garages in downtown. Walk-in bar seating; gets crowded after 9pm on weekends. The shop, in frames
